Pamela Goodberry

Country Artist Continues BREAKING GROUND

In 1996, Brockville, Ontario native Pamela Goodberry, although an amateur, breaks ground and advances to the national finals of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame singing contest in the “professional” category and duplicates that feat at Ottawa’s Y-105 talent contest. At this point, Pamela’s self-belief is quite evident as she launches her self-titled Mini-CD with her ground breaking release “Standing My Ground…which in 1997 charted at #59 with Country Music News publication (distributed worldwide). The track was co-penned by Stewart Harris, who had also co-written Wynonna’s highly successful “No One Else on Earth”, and was produced by international fixture Randall Prescott and Jon Park Wheeler.

Constant determination and perseverance has been Pamela’s way. She has struggled with a debilitating illness for over 13 years that threatened to extinguish her

musical dream. However, with her “Never Give Up” attitude, she has broken barriers that most people would have said could not have been done. Despite the absence of a music video, without touring or a label deal and without marketing or distribution, her next release “Why Can’t They Send Them All?” made it to #50 in CMNews , remained charted for seven months and was then voted “One of Canada’s Top 100 Country Songs of 1998”.

On Pamela’s third song, she debut’s her outstanding song-writing ability with the multi-talented and highly respected Barry Brown. “Baby I’m Back” has yet to be released but assures us of her determination and willpower…“I know I’m gonna make it…Won’t be easy but then…Look where I was and then look where I am…Yes, Baby I’m Back!. All of Pamela’s songs from her Mini-CD have received international airplay in the U.S., UK, Europe, Australia and Central America.
